NAMIBIA IS THE FACE OF AFRICA

NAMIBIAN Benvinda Mundenge was the new M-Web Face of Africa on Sunday after the sudden death of her 14-year-old sister on Thursday. Namibia scored a double by providing not only the venue for the contest but also the winner. The four runners-up will go to represent Africa in the Elite Model Look of the Year competition which takes place in France later this year. They are Mirriam Odemba from Tanzania, Phine Kamara from Cte d’Ivoire, Rachida Bako from Niger and Tracy Maitland-Steward from South Africa — who attracted criticism for being a white face representing Africa.
