WHEN PIGS FLY?

SOUTH Africa’s veteran offspinner Pat Symcox has in hot water for allegedly misbehaving on a flight home from Australia last week, according to press reports on Monday. South African Airways and the United Cricket Board of South Africa are conducting separate inquiries into allegations that Symcox (38) was rude and aggressive to flight staff, The Star reported. Flight manager Bossie Bossert claimed that Symcox and a woman sitting next to him were roWdy, causing other passengers to complain. When Bossert was ordered to stop serving the pair drinks, Symcox became “very aggressive and used abusive language,” he told the Citizen. Bossert said he had had three arguments with the cricketer, who swore at him several times. Symcox, who was returning home after playing in one-day internationals in New Zealand, has denied the allegations, adding that he only had one glass of wine on the flight.
