SKINSTAD OUT OF STORMERS CLASH

STORMERS captain Bobby Skinstad and a host of first choice players have been excluded from the Super 12 team to face the Otago Highlanders in Carisbrook on Friday. Also out of the 22-man squad named on Wednesday are Springboks Pieter Rossouw, Percy Montgomery, Braam van Straaten. Flanker Lodewyk Hattingh takes over the captaincy while Anton Leonard, who scored last week’s decisive late try to beat the Wellington Hurricanes 24-22, slots in at eighthman in Skinstad’s place. The side still contains six Springboks, with another five on the bench.

The Stormers squad: Toks van der Linde, Tommy Webb, Rob Kempson, Hottie Louw, Selborne Boome, Hendrik Gerber, Lodewyk Hattingh (capt), Anton Leonard, Joggie Viljoen, Louis Koen, Manie du Toit, Tinus Linee, Gus Theron, John Daniels, Robert Markram. Reserves: Breyton Paulse, Robbie Fleck, Dan van Zyl, Robbie Brink, Johnny Trytsman, Cobus Visagie, Charl Marais.
