VUYANI “The Beast” Bungu officially relinquished his IBF junior featherweight crown in Johannesburg on Thursday and then declared his intention to move up in weight and win more world titles as a featherweight. The East London-based boxer, who set a South African record of 13 successful world title defences last month, has no regrets about giving up the belt. “I’m very happy, it’s like I’m still the world champion,” Bungu said. Promoter Rodney Berman is looking for Bungu to fight either Britain’s WBO champion Prince Naseem Hamed or to challenge for the IBF featherweight title.
