SPAIN’S Alberto Martin captured his first ATP Tour tennis singles title on Sunday, winning the $215000 Casablanca Open with a 6-3 6-4 win over compatriot Fernando Vicente. The 20-year-old Barcelona-born Martin, ranked 94th in the world, saw off Vicente, two years his senior and the world number 54 in an hour and 18 minutes. Like many Spaniards, he prefers the clay surface. Vicente crumbled after losing his opening serve to go 2-0 down in the opener as Martin streaked away with the match.
