A NEW media award for women has been launched by the Forum for African Women Educationalists of South Africa, for the honouring of women journalists who work to highlight education and development issues for women. It will be called the Fawe Award for Media Excellence. The first award ceremony will be held in Cape Town on May 6, and winners may attend an international Fawe conference in Nairobi in July.
