THE parents of a local game ranger have been interviewed by police in connection with the highly-publicised murder of BBC television presenter Jill Dando. A Johannesburg spokesman for Interpol confirmed on Monday that police are investigating the whereabouts of his handgun was, following a request from Scotland Yard. “He is living in London now, but he has a firearm licence. We were asked to find out if the gun was with his parents in South Africa and not with him,” said Senior Superintendent Faizel Abdul-Kader. Dando, a popular 37-year-old presenter, was shot dead outside her London home on April 26. She had a brief liaison with a South African game ranger whom she met in 1996 while filming in the country.
