VILJOEN — GONE FISHING

FREEDOM Front leader Constand Viljoen on Friday said he will “go farming” if the Afrikaner people could find no role for him to play following his party’s disappointing showing in Wednesday’s national and provincial elections. He told the media at the election results centre in Pretoria he will consult fellow-Afrikaners on his future, and make a decision by the end of August. “I have no desire to remain in politics if it does not hold benefits for the Afrikaner…I am not eager to give up my position, but this will depend on my consultations with Afrikaners.”
