FRIDAY, 1.30PM:
THE Blue Bulls Under-19 Craven Week side showed again that they are peerless in this year’s competition, soundly trouncing the much-vaunted Northern Free State side by 44-0.
SA Schools flyhalf Tiaan Snyman was excellent, contributing 19 points with the boot. The Bulls scored five tries.
South-Western Districts beat Mpumalanga 13-5. The half time score was 3-0 in favour of SWD.
Northern Blue Bulls lost 22-24 to Boland but, had Northerns flyhalf Zak Smith not missed a conversion attempt at the hooter, the scores would have been tied.
The Northern Free State XV beat Griquas Country Districts 40-24 in a good display of positive running rugby from both sides.
KwaZulu-Natal Academy lost 11-12 to the Gauteng Falcons XV.
The boys of the Special Education XV went down to Namibia by 38-22 after fading in the second half.
Western Province beat Eastern Province 15-3 in a rather disappointing match.
The Zimbabwean boys played well to beat Boland Academy 25-18. The Boland side played well in the first half, but the Zimbabweans dominated the second half, running out deserved winners.
