CHILUBA CRITICISES UN SUPPORT

ZAMBIAN President Frederick Chiluba, who chairs the peace process in the Democratic Republic of Congo, on Sunday criticised the United Nations for allocating less money to African refugees in comparison to what it gives to their European counterparts. It was grossly unfair that the UN allocated as much as one US dollar and 50 cents per day per refugee in Europe and America, while it gave only 11 US cents to each African refugee per day, Chiluba told a press conference in Lusaka before departure for the 35th Organisation of African Unity summit in Algiers.
