GENOCIDE MEMORABILIA FOR SALE

A SHOP selling relics of the 1994 genocide in Rwanda, including victims’ bones and skulls, will soon start operating in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania one of the people involved told the Tanzanian Daily Mail.. Among articles to be sold by the group are video cards, ordinary cassettes, victims’ clothes and other items related to the bloodbath. The shop owners are also thinking of displaying and selling bones and skulls of genocide victims, but this will need permission from the Rwandan government. About 500000 people were killed during the 1994 genocide, spear-headed by Hutu hard-liners and the militia, popularly known as Interahamwe.
