DENMARK on Thursday pledged US$215-million to a range of rural development projects in Mozambique. The money, set to be released in stages over the next four years, includes grants for massive health, education, water supply, and agriculture projects. A press release from the Danish embassy in Maputo said on Thursday that the grants were the result of talks between the Mozambican and Denmark governments in Maputo earlier this month. The talks also discussed methods for strengthening bilateral cooperation on issues affecting the region.
