THE SA Under-21 selectors have retained the team that beat Australia 20-12 last Friday for Tuesday’s important semi-final against France in Buenos Aires. Two changes have, however, been made to the bench. Replacement scrumhalf, who joined the team on Saturday, takes the place of centre Eugene Marx and lock Donovan Everett is replaced by Bandile Ncunyana. The other semi-final is between New Zealand and Australia. South Africa finished at the top of Pool A with 14 points. They beat Wales 48-9 and England 39-5 in their other two Pool matches. “We have been taking things a game at a time and I am satisfied with the progress we have made,” said coach Eric Sauls. “We are going to have to put much more effort into to this game because there are no second chances in the knockout stages. Our previous results don’t have any bearing in the semi-final. We have a single chance and aim to make the most of it”.
