BLANCHE ELECTED GAUTENG FA LEADER

FORMER MEC Sakkie Blanche was elected interim Gauteng leader of the Federal Alliance at a party provincial conference held in Alberton at the weekend. FA spokesman Jan Bosman said in a statement on Monday that MPL Kobus Bosman and FA Gauteng chairman Godfrey Williams were elected interim provincial deputy leaders. They will serve until their positions are ratified by the FA’s first Gauteng congress in November. Meanwhile the New National Party appointed Tjol Lategan its new provincial leader on Monday. He succeeds Andre Fourie who retired from politics after the general election on June 2.
