POLICE FIND TWO TONS OF GOLD DUST

POLICE on Wednesday morning seized an estimated two tons of gold dust and a substantial amount of processing equipment from a hostel in Welkom. Police spokesman Captain Elsabe Augoustides said policemen from the gold and diamond branch swooped on the hostel at 9.00am. He said equipment confiscated includes 129 gas bottles, 150 crushing moulds, 39 crucibles and 65 cutting torches. Three men were arrested.
