TUTU TAX CASE DELAYED

TREVOR TUTU pitched up at the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday for hearings on tax evasion charges against him, but his lawyer failed to arrive. Previously, Tutu himself failed to appear at the court, leading to a warrant for his arrest benig issued. He showed up with a medical certificate on June 22, and was released on his own recognisance, but the doctor was scheduled to testify on Monday due to the delay in issuing the certificate. The magistrate has given Tutu and his lawyer until Wednesday to show up together for a hearing.
