ARSENAL striker Kanu has had to fly home to Nigeria to be with his family but is still expected to be available for his side’s opening Premiership match this weekend. The Nigerian international missed Tuesday’s official club photo-call after travelling to Lagos, reportedly to be at his sick mother’s bedside. Doubts were cast on whether he would be back in time to face Leicester at Highbury on Saturday. However, an Arsenal spokesman said: “Kanu has gone back to Nigeria but he should definitely be available for selection this weekend.”
