PRETORIA’S DEBT RATING REAFFIRMED

THE Greater Pretoria Metropolitan Council’s credit rating was reaffirmed in both the long and short terms by the international credit company Duff & Phelps. The Council has received a D-1 for domestic currency ratings and an A+ for long term ratings. In a statement the credit company said this means the council has a very high certainty of timely payment in the short term and high credit quality with protection factors in the long term. The council has also been judged as having relatively high liquidity levels, as well as predictable revenue flows.
