TRANSNET BUYS CARLTON CENTRE

TRANSPORT parastatal Transnet has bought the Carlton Centre in the Johannesburg central business district for an amount of R32-million. Beeld reports that Transnet managing director Saki Macozoma on Monday said some 2500 head office employees will be relocated to the centre during the next two years. Macozoma said the move to the centre and the suspension of existing rental agreements would bring about a saving of R56-million.
