NIGERIAN SELLS MILITARY AIRCRAFT

THE Nigerian Air Force is selling its Jaguar, Mig-21 and G22 aircraft through open bidding, the chief of air staff, Air Vice-Marshal Isaac Alfa, said. He told airforce personnel at the Ikeja Air Force Logistics Command in Lagos that the money realised from the sale will be used to buy needed multi-role combat aircraft. He added that government is aware of the need for equipment in the force and has begun addressing the issues with the current rehabilitation of grounded Super Puma Helicopters
