JOURNALIST FLOGGED FOR QUESTIONS

BODYGUARDS of the head of Liberia’s ruling party kicked and punched a journalist investigating a story about the financial affairs of a state mining company. Bob Woods of the independent daily The News said he was flogged on Wednesday by security guards working for the secretary general of the ruling National Patriotic Party, Cyril Allen.
