TOWN CLERK TURNS ON INFORMERS

SECUNDA’S town clerk, Billy Ralebipi, is persecuting and threatening to dismiss officials who helped police nab him for stealing electricity by making illegal connections to the town’s electricity grid. Ralebipi was fined R10000 last week when he was found guilty of stealing council electricity and of tampering with municipal property in the Evander District Court. Ralebipi has, however, now charged officials who testified against him with misconduct and is seeking to dismiss them from the council.
