The three suspected murderers of Forest Hill High School principal Edward Legg appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday. Themba Skosana, (23) Vusi Nyembe, (24) and Colin Nhlapo, (23) all from Soweto, appeared shocked when prosecutor Andre de Jager placed on record that they are now charged with murder as well as robbery with aggravating circumstances. Legg was shot on July 24 and the school’s minibus was hijacked from the driveway of his house. After spending some time in hospital, he was discharged. Earlier this month he attended an identity parade for one of the accused. On returning to his Meredale residence afterwards, he collapsed and died. The three accused are to apply for bail on September 29.
