OTIS Ntsimane, a member of the South African All-Africa Games Karate team has tested positive for a banned substance. Ntisame admitted to ingesting two products which contain the stimulant d-norpseudoephedrine. Because the karateka was found guilty of doping at the end of the Games, the SA team management has referred the case to the Karate Association of South Africa (KASA) for further action. KASA president Imtiaz Abdullah said the organisation will follow procedures laid down by the International Olympic Committee and as a result, an urgent meeting of their executive will be convened.
