TAXI VIOLENCE CLAIMS TWO LIVES

THE chairman of the Federation of Long Distance Taxi Associations and a colleague are in a critical condition and two other members were killed in a driveby shooting in Pretoria at 10am on Tuesday. Police said the four were travelling in a Nissan sedan on Soutpan Road when shots were fired at them from a passing cream Nissan Sentra The two members sitting in the back were killed instantly. The chairman and a colleague in the front of the car were taken to hospital in critical condition. Police apparently counted at least 24 bullet holes in the vehicle. An AK47 rifle was used in the attack. The attack appearws to be linked to taxi violence in Soshanguve.
