ZIM’s ECONOMIC GROWTH CONFERENCE

ZIMBABWE will next week host a four-day international conference on boosting economic growth in the region, conference organisers said Monday. The Southern African International Dialogue (SAID), will bring together heads of state from 15 eastern and southern African countries to discuss ways to speed up economic growth in southern Africa. The conference to run from October 3 to 6 in the western resort town of Victoria Falls is expected to be attended by political leaders from Angola, Botswana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Lesotho, Namibia, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Seychelles, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Some 400 other participants from countries outside the region will also attend including Cyprus, France, Jordan, Malaysia, Britain and the United States.
