GAY ACTIVISTS POUNCE ON MUGABE

BRITISH police arrested four gay rights campaigners over the weekend after they attempted to make a citizen’s arrest of Zimbabwe’s President Robert Mugabe. Peter Tatchell, leader of a group called Outrage!, was taken away by police following the incident outside the Crowne Plaza hotel, according to one of the protesters. The group said they wanted to arrest Mugabe because of the alleged torture of two journalists in Zimbabwe. The protesters had carried placards including one which said “Mugabe stop abusing queers.” Scotland Yard confirmed that four men were arrested after they had jumped on to a Mercedes Benz, but no names were released.
