STANDARD WINS GAUTENG TENDER

STANDAND Bank was on Wedneday awarded the tender to provide its banking services to the Gauteng provicial government. Finance and economic affairs MEC Jabu Moleketi annouced that the contract has been awarded for a period of five years and runs until March 2005. He said that there was very little to choose between the three banks that tendered on the criteria used to evaluate the bids except for the price. Standard Bank had priced its services so competitively that there was consensus in the final decision, he said.
