SOUTH Africa’s 739 traditional leaders collectively earn more than R48-million a month, and do not even have to sign performance contracts, Sydney Mufamadi, the minister of provincial affairs and local government said Monday in reply to a parliamentary question.In KwaZulu-Natal, the North West, and the Northern Province they are also paid generous allowances for attending sittings of the House of Traditional Leaders.
