BRITAIN’S Queen Elizabeth II is expected to express regret for the loss of life on all sides in the Boer War during her visit to South Africa, a British newspaper reported on Tuesday. The queen and her husband the Duke of Edinburgh are due to arrive at an air base outside Pretoria on Tuesday afternoon for a five-day state visit to South Africa. According to the Independent newspaper, the British monarch will express regret for the loss of life on all sides — British, Afrikaner and black — during the war which began 100 years ago. The remarks are expected to come during a speech at a state banquet on Wednesday.
