POLLY, KALLIS TOP THE RANKINGS

SHAUN Pollock and Jacques Kallis have moved to the top of the Price-Waterhouse-Coopers ratings for all-rounders, while Pollock has also displaced Allan Donald at the top of the pile for Test bowlers.

Donald has moved to second spot on the rankings. Kallis and Pollock are currently on 465 and 402 points respectively in the all-rounder rankings, with their nearest challenger, New Zealander Chris Cairns far adrift on 307 points.

The rankings mean that South Africa will face England with the world’s top two bowlers and all-rounders. England’s best bowlers, Darren Gough and Andy Caddick, are rated 19th and 20th respectively.

South Africa also have four batsmen in the top twenty, Daryll Cullinan, Hansie Cronje, Kallis and Gary Kirsten, while England counter with only two, Alec Stewart and Nasser Hussain.

Andy Caddick is the top English all-rounder and is ranked 24th.
