A NIGERIAN court has ordered that 13 university students be remanded in custody over the murder of eight others on July 10. The students are to stand trial on suspicion that they were members of secret campus cults who attacked the students in their hostel. Meanwhile, twenty-two persons, including an infant, were burnt to death and 15 others seriously injured when two commuter buses collided on a highway in southwest Nigeria. The accident occured when one of the buses tried to overtake a stationary truck and collided into the oncoming vehicle.
