INCOMING national police commissioner Jackie Selebi says he’ll don a police uniform if it will help bring the police closer to the community. “They are our police… the only one we’ve got and they have to be respected,” Selebi told a seminar on police co-operation between South Africa and Sweden. Selebi said he had initially decided not to wear a uniform, but had now reconsidered.
