SOUTH African Fulton Allem will not be making a return to South African golf as anticipated by his fans and fellow golfers. Allem, who was due to start the Vodacom Tour summer leg at Royal Cape Golf Club in the Vodacom Players Championship in December, has had to withdraw due to injury. Allem announced on Wednesday that he has suffered severe injury to ligaments below his elbow and has been advised not to play golf for several weeks. Louis Martin, Chief Executive of the Southern Africa Tour, spoke to Allem this morning: “Fulton is really disappointed not to make the trip to South Africa. He has been looking forward to the summer tour and to re-establishing himself in South African golf. However, he sends his best wishes to the players and hopes to join us on the Vodacom Tour next season,” said Martin.
