ELS, PRICE FAVOURITES FOR MILLION DOLLAR
HOMEBOY Ernie Els and defending champion Nick Price are the hot favourites to win this year’s Million Dollar Challenge. Price is going for an unprecedented Million Dollar hat-trick in a field that includes 19-year-old Spanish sensation Sergio Garcia.The field includes 19-year-old Spanish sensation Sergio Garcia. Els tipped Price, who has a good knowledge of the Gary Player Country Club course. “Price has won here three times because he putts better than anyone here. They say that putting is the weakest part of his game, but here he is awesome on the greens.” Els, going for his first win since his debut in 1992, is on an upward graph in form and has recovered from a slump after his Alfred Dunhill PGA Championships in January. He started getting his eye in at the Johnny Walker Classic on November 14 when he was two off the lead for third place.
