LUCKY Maselesele lived up to his name when he scored a hat-trick in South Africa’s 3-0 defeat of Madagascar in a Cosafa Cup match at Orlando in Johannesburg on Friday.
The Kaizer Chiefs striker was in fine nick and blew the opposition out of the water as they slumped to their first defeat in the competition. Maselesele’s first was scored in the 19th minute after he latched onto a pass from Emmanuel Ngobese. Eighteen minutes later he followed it up with a second when he blasted a loose ball into the Madagascan goalmouth.
The Madagascans tried their best to stop the rout, but solid defence kept them at bay and Maselesele put the icing on the cake with a fine finish from a midfield buildup in the 78th minute.
