BORDER and former national strike bowler Makhaya Ntini created history when he became the first black South African to achieve a hat-trick in first-class cricket.
Ntini captured the wickets of Gerard Brophy, Dewald Pretorius and Matthew Hoggard during the third day of the Super Eight cricket match against Free State at Springbok Park in Bloemfontein on Sunday.
Ntini is also the fourth Border bowler to record a hat-trick in first-class cricket.
