THE head of Hyundai Motor Distributors in South Africa, Billy Rautenbach, was involved in the murder of Daewoo South Africa president Yong Koo Kwon in February, prosecutors alleged in the Pretoria High Court on Tuesday.
An affidavit by senior prosecutor Thembakazi Burhali claimed that Rautenbach’s link to the murder had been shown during an investigation by intelligence agents, working with police.
The affidavit did not elaborate on Rautenbach’s alleged involvement in the murder. It was filed in response to an application by Rautenbach and nine companies in his Wheels of Africa group to have property seized by police during a raid on his house last month set aside.
