COPS FIND BODIES OF CAPE MOTHER, DAUGHTER

EASTERN Cape police have found the bodies of Cape Town businesswoman Brenda Fairhead, 50, and her 11-year-old daughter Kia, in an area near the Keiskama bridge between Pedi and King William’s Town. The two failed to return home from a fishing trip on Sunday afternoon. Fairhead’s husband, who had gone to a wedding in Kleinmonde, contacted the police on Sunday night. On Monday afternoon, a 16-year-old youth was arrested in Frankfurt and the luxury 4×4 in which Fairhead and her daughter were travelling was found hidden in bushes. The 16-year-old suspect apparently took police to the bodies, which had been dumped in the Fish River. A second suspect was arrested on Tuesday, according to police spokeswoman Superintendent Marinda Mills.
