CULLINAN TO FACE DISCIPLINARY CHARGES

GAUTENG batsman Daryll Cullinan faces charges of bringing the game into disrepute when he appears before a disciplinary tribunal at the United Cricket Board headquarters in Johannesburg on Tuesday evening.

The hearing comes after UCB managing director Ali Bacher lodged a report on an incident involving Border paceman Makhaya Ntini and Cullinan during the Supersport Series final at the Wanderers on Monday.

Cullinan has been charged with contravening the rules and the UCB’s code of conduct for allegedly directing crude and abusive language at Ntini and by engaging in conduct which brought the game into disrepute.

Cullinan’s Gauteng skipper Clive Eksteen is expected to appear at the hearing with the ace batsman.
