CHAUKE’S LOVER’S CASE POSTPONED

THE case against Dudu Nkosi, the lover of alleged cash-heist kingpin Collin Chauke, was postponed on Thursday to allow the State to prove she used her sister’s alleged death to make false insurance claims. The Nelspruit Regional Court postponed its hearing against Nkosi to next Wednesday, February 9, to allow the State to call witnesses confirming Nkosi submitted false claims while accessing her sister’s death benefits. Nkosi faces 10 fraud and theft charges and one charge of defeating the ends of justice. She has pleaded not guilty to allowing Chauke to live with her in her Nelspruit townhouse. She said she only knew Chauke as Max Shirhami Zikhale and did not know he was South Africa’s most wanted man. She pleaded guilty to seven of the 10 fraud and theft charges, but the court changed the pleas to not guilty.
