NO HOME GAMES FOR SOMALIA

SECURITY fears and inadequate facilities will prevent Somalia’s national football teams from playing at home this year. Football Association president Farah Addo said that preliminary ties in the World Cup and the African youth and junior championships will be reduced to one leg on the ground of their opponents. Somalia are scheduled to meet African champions Cameroon in the World Cup and Kenya in the junior championship during April and Uganda in the youth championship the following month. The East African country is slowly recovering from a decade-long civil war and the senior national team is considered the weakest on the continent by world govering body Fifa.
