CHIEFS REACH BOBSAVE QUARTERS

KAIZER Chiefs have reached the quarter-finals of the Bobsave Superbowl after beating Cape Town City 3-1 at the Johannesburg Stadium. Chiefs midfielder Thabo Mooki scored two late goals to sink the visitors. The home side didn’t have it all their way against the Coastal Stream minnows, and it was only in the last quarter that the Amakhosi found their feet. Chiefs drew first blood scoring in the opening minutes through Marco Mthembu who capitalised on a chance created by Thabang Lebese. Collen Markgraaff then scored for the visitors when he snapped up a loose ball in the penalty area. Chiefs took control late in the match and Mooki slammed in a brace to take the result beyond City. Chiefs face Hellenic in the quarterfinal.
