ZIM MARKETS SHAKEN BY CRISIS

ZIMBABWE’S key index shed 5,2% during the week as investor confidence was shaken by the country’s economic crisis, especially a critical three-month-old fuel shortage which threatens to bring industry to a halt. Brokers say that the fuel crisis, coupled with a spate of white-owned farm invasions by liberation war veterans over the last three weeks or so, is likely to keep investors on the sidelines of the Zimbabwe market.
