LOMU OUT WITH BROKEN FINGER

A BROKEN finger has forced winger Jonah Lomu out of the Wellington Hurricanes Super 12 side to play the Otago Highlanders on Saturday. Lomu’s left hand is in a plaster cast after he broke the finger during the Hurricanes’ win over the Queensland Reds last weekend. He will be replaced by Sevens speedster Brad Fleming. The Highlanders are also affected by injury with fullback Marc Ellis out with a knee injury. However the southern side will have a full international front row with the return of All Black prop Carl Hoeft from injury.
