ONE KILLED, SCORES INJURED IN FREEWAY PILE-UP

A PEAK hour pile-up on the M2 east freeway in Johannesburg has left one motorist dead and 20 people injured. About 23 cars, a minibus taxi and a luxury bus were involved in the accident, which happened around 7am on Monday morning. Traffic officials say the taxi overturned, causing cars to collide with each other. The bus then ploughed into the back of the stationary cars, dragging one of them along a stretch of the highway. The driver of the car was killed instantly. The bus driver will be arrested.
