CAIRO BUS PLUNGES OFF BRIDGE

TWO people were killed and 30 others injured on Wednesday when a speeding bus crashed through the barrier of a bridge and plunged on to a lower road in Cairo, police said. The injured, some of whom were in serious condition, were taken to three hospitals in the Egyptian capital. The accident which blocked a vital cross-town artery in the city centre caused rush-hour bottlenecks. The bus was taking government employees home from work.
