ZIMBABWE’S cricket chief says there is no possibility that his country’s players are involved in the bookmaking scandal surrounding South Africa’s sacked captain Hansie Cronje. “There is no possibility of our players having been involved,” Zimbabwe Cricket Union chief executive Dave Ellman-Brown said on Thursday. “We were part of the triangular tournament (with England and South Africa last January) and as far as we are concerned there was nothing amiss,” he said. “It had nothing to do with us but we are deeply concerned about the issue and very sorry for the South African cricket authorities,” he added.
