ARROWS PROMOTED TO PREMIER LEAGUE

LAMONTVILLE Golden Arrows have been promoted to the Castle Premier League after beating Premier United 2-1 to win the MTN First Division Coastal Stream league championships at the weekend. The team from KwaZulu-Natal ended the season on 61 points from 26 matches. Arrows were active in the old National Professional Soccer League (NPSL) during the 70’s, but were relagated and didn’t make it into the top-division until now. Arrows’ return to the professional ranks brings the number of teams from KwaZulu-Natal in the Premier League to four, with Manning Rangers, AmaZulu and African Wanderers campaigning next season.
