ACT Brumbies skipper Brett Robinson’s hopes of a glorious Super 12 swansong will depend on whether his colleagues can get through to the Super 12 rugby final without him. Flanker Robinson, who is playing his final season for the Brumbies, has been ruled out of Saturday night’s semi-final against the Cats at Canberra’s Bruce Stadium. He failed to recover from a chest muscle injury which he suffered against the Waikato Chiefs in Hamilton on April 29. The Cats’ task will not be made any easier, however, as Wallabies Joe Roff and David Giffin are expected to be back in action on Saturday. Wallaby live-wire scrumhalf George Gregan will skipper the Brumbies.
